About CHACP

Council for HIV/AIDS Care and Prevention (CHACP)

The CHACP is the combined group of the two committees known as the Ryan White Title II Care Consortium and the Regional Community Planning Group (RCPG) for prevention services. This combined group helps determine the needs and allocates funds across the region. Both care dollars from HRSA and prevention dollars from the CDC are influenced by this diverse group of community leaders. The makeup of the CHACP is guided by the principles of Parity, Inclusion and Representation in an attempt to assure that to the best of our ability the CHACP reflects the community it serves. Volunteers, health care providers, people living HIV/AIDS, case managers, faith leader and many others come to the CHACP to share their knowledge and guide the efforts to fight HIV/AIDS in our area.
